The Centre, Livingston

The Centre is a large regional centre containing over 155 shops and restaurants. Retailers include Debenhams, M&S, H&M, River Island, Wagamama, Ask and Republic.

A new 70,000 sq ft Primark store opened in The Centre in December 2011 and is the first Primark in the Lothians region of Scotland.

The Centre attracts an average footfall of over 1,000,000 shoppers a month with a large proportion of these being the Family ACORN groups. The average spend of shoppers is an impressive £50 with 68% of visitors making a purchase when they visit.

Livingston is located at the heart of Scotland’s central belt only 25 minutes from Edinburgh and 35 minutes from Glasgow. Livingston has key transport links including a central bus terminal, two train stations and excellent connections to the central Scotland road network.

Livingston is located in the West Lothian region of Scotland which has reinvented itself as a key location for knowledge based research and development and high technology manufacturing businesses. The region has lower levels of unemployment than the rest of Scotland and is also a key location for business service and retail companies including SKY, Tesco and Intelligent Finance. The £200m Armadale Station development will bring 1000 new homes, a hotel and a number of offices to the region.

The town is home to 3 major retail parks, hosting large operators including Toys R Us, Halfords and SCS. The Centre is situated adjacent to the Livingston Designer Outlet which offers a further 100 stores.
